The Grower's Grower provides orchard management services on a part-time basis to relieve growers/managers where leave is taken or during adverse or busy periods where further support is required. Our full service is for growers looking for a breath of fresh air, passion and determination to get your orchard back on track to meet your needs.
Unique Opportunity to learn how to own or invest in kiwifruit
​My family purchased a new orchard, that was in need of Redevelopment to make it profitable again. Join the Growers Grower on a 3 year journey as we take PF Athenree to a fully productive site. We have Green cut over, Greenfield development and planning a vertical 2d system on 0.5ha site. You will learn how to purchase a site, develop a site, all the inputs, the services that are required and it will be transparent. The idea is to build solid foundational understanding of being a Grower but more importantly what makes the Blueprint to ownership for all those budding passionate young people out there that want to have a crack at kiwifruit orcharding.

This is my family, hard working and dedicated, Jono, Lily, Gabriela, Emily and Giovanni are the strong team that makes The Grower's Grower.
We own and manage orchards in Opotiki, Pongakawa, Paengaroa, Oropi, Pyes Pa, and Katikati. Being exposed to many growing areas offers our customers valuable insights and exposure to staffing, innovations, technological advances, and mature canopy solutions that ensure sustainable long-term growth.

We also produce organic products and have begun integrating organic principles into our conventional practices.
​
A trail blazer, Jono likes to be bold and forge new pathways through innovation and outside the box solutions.
Experience
Jono started in 1995 as the 1st modern apprentice in the industry, accumulating 3 decades of Kiwifruit management experience both post harvest and orchard, giving him grounding that is hard to find these days.
